My 34-year professional career in journalism focused on serving as editor for two specialty trade publications that covered the paperboard packaging industry. Specifically, I wrote about the making and marketing of corrugated containers (what most people call cardboard boxes) and folding cartons (used to hold cereal and tissues, among many other goods).

The monthly publication was Paperboard Packaging magazine; the weekly newsletter was Official Board Markets. For the weekly I also closely tracked the prices for containerboard, boxboard and recovered paper, the raw materials used to make containers and cartons.
